C.diff and MRSA figures for all hospitals across the country are published online on a weekly basis by the Health Protection Agency (HPA).

It is part of Government plans to improve transparency and accountability in hospitals. The weekly reporting schedule for MRSA bacteraemia and C.diff includes counts of cases by hospital (and not acute/PCT-level reporting).

The weekly data for every hospital is available at http://www.data.gov.uk/.

Infection figures for every NHS hospital in England will be updated weekly online, giving statistics for each of the previous 12 weeks.

The formal weekly publication scheme started 5th July 2010. There will still be formal montly, quarterly and annual publication of official data.
